To meet the brief, Nakazono drew on the structure of an ant colony and designed a property made up from a series of glass cells that connected to each other. The house, designed by Nabuko's son, takes the form of five pods, each with a conical roof and linked via walkways. It is linked by an external walkway to another wing with an office and four more bedrooms for Hiroshi's family. The pool above overflows into a striking wall of water below the house where you walk to the lower levels. From the outside Caroline said it looks like a 'tree house on stilts', and stepping through the heavy front door reveals a quiet, reflective paradise. Miami’s Brillhart House, a piece of celebrated contemporary architecture that earned a place on the BBC’s “The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes” series, is selling for the first time, asking nearly $2 million. Even Piers and Caroline, who have seen and experienced already so much in their careers, get totally mesmerized each and every time, with the beauty of the houses they visit. The series, in its purest sense, is the perfect definition of aesthetics, and the show is meant for each and everyone without exception. Piers and Caroline arrive at an island in Norway by a speed boat and decide to stay for two days instead of one.
Piers and Caroline, in Season 2, visit four different but amazing houses in Portugal and a tiny hamlet called Jeurs in Switzerland.
